worm composting, also known as vermicomposting or worm composting, is the process of using worms and micro-organisms in recycling food and other household waste into rich soil nutrient black. This rich soil (castings) is the product of digestion of the worm. The worms are capable of eating between half their weight in waste every day. The worm castings are a natural fertilizer that provides a wonderful source of nutrients for plants, lawns and gardens. The pieces are extremely valuable for the texture and fertility of soil and can add 10 times the nutrients in the soil that were taken during crops. Vermicompost improves water holding capacity of soil and improves soil structure in general. Your plants grow stronger and have a deeper root system for better tolerance to drought and disease resistance.

Red wigglers, manure worms, worms tiger, blue and red worms are used to hybrids in the field of vermiculture and vermicompost process. These worms can be purchased over the Internet in a bait shop or your local farmer worm. A book of verse is all that is needed to start a worm farm. These worms reproduce rapidly. They wholesale appetites, so expect them to eat their weight in waste every day.

The worm bins can be essentially a box with a lid. They can be wood or plastic. An ill-fitting lid to allow the oxygen they need good. Always have drainage holes in the bottom of the tank vermiculture. Vermicomposting worms like damp, dark and cool places. Without proper conditions of temperature and worms will try to escape in the bin. Building a worm farm is easy and everyone can set up a worm farm.

Commercial Vermiculture is the raising worms for resale. For many years to have been bred only for sale in bait shops. Now with the new team vermicast to commercial composting over the past two decades, the demand for worms has increased considerably.

A company vermicomposting addresses two key issues. It takes care of organic waste and produces a rich soil that is extremely useful for plants, gardens and lawns. Vermicomposting, through the use of worms, organic waste changes into a product that can be harvested and sold regularly. The vermicomposting need more sites in the world will continue to grow. Schools, institutions, military bases, prisons and other institutions can vermicomposting bins set up right on their site recycling of food waste.

Vermiculture is an easy way to recycle food waste, protect the environment, putting nutrients into the soil and make money, too. A third of household waste can be recycled in a worm farm. The environment is helped by keeping tons of waste in landfills and vermicompost is a totally natural fertilizer that eliminates the need for harmful chemicals. The castings add important nutrients in the back ground. This support to encourage healthy root growth control against erosion and improve soil fertility. Vermicomposting can even become a company with vermiculture technology right.

Renowned scientist and bestselling author Goodall delivers an eye-opening and empowering book that explores the social and personal significance of the food people produce and consume. From The Publisher:The renowned scientist who fundamentally changed the way we view primates and our relationship with the animal kingdom now turns her attention to an incredibly important and deeply personal issue-taking a stand for a more sustainable world. In this provocative and encouraging book, Jane Goodall sounds a clarion call to Western society, urging us to take a hard look at the food we produce and consume-and showing us how easy it is to create positive change. With a firm but gentle touch, Dr. Goodall paints a global landscape in which corporations own the rainwater, patent the earth’s seeds, and give birth to mysterious Frankenfoods. This isn’t science fiction; it’s reality. But it’s a reality we can repair. Offering her hopeful, stirring vision, Goodall argues convincingly that each individual can make a difference. She introduces us to inspiring everyday heroes like Percy Schmeiser, a third-generation farmer who fought Monsanto and won; Jose Bove and the Mowing Brigade, French activists who stage dramatic protests against genetically modified crops; and John Mackey, the founder and CEO of Whole Foods, who changed his store’s policy to sell only ethically raised animal products. Most valuable of all, Goodall offers simple strategies each of us can employ to foster a sustainable society. It doesn’t take much to turn the tide. By using water filters, eating organic, shopping at farmers’ markets, drinking shade-grown coffee, and taking other mindful measures, we can all do our part to reclaim our food, our health, and our planet. And we can start now. Brilliant, empowering, and irrepressibly optimistic, Harvest for Hope: A Guide to Mindful Eating is one of the most crucial works of our age. KHAT IS A QUASI-LEGAL PSYCHOACTIVE SHRUB, produced and marketed in the province of Harerge, Ethiopia, and widely consumed throughout Northeast Africa. In the late nineteenth century the main cash crop of Harerge was coffee. Leaf of Allah examines why farming families shifted from cultivating coffee and food crops to growing khat. Demographic, market, and political factors facilitated the emergence of khat as Harerge’s leading agricultural commodity. This development increased the scale of unofficial cross-border trade in consumer goods. This study explores the consequences of the new cash crop for the regional economy as a whole, for farmer-state relations, for the nature and balance of local social relations, as well as for Harerge’s physical, socioeconomic, and political landscapes.
